The Pride Of Songun

Koreans keenly feel they are blessed with the remarkable leadership of Dear Leader Comrade Generalissimo Kim Jong Il the brilliant statesman, political genius, prolific author, prodigious humanist, intellectual giant of our times, invincible military commander, and immortal lodestar of the 21st century.

Koreans thus rally wholeheartedly around the Banner of Songun which is the Banner of Victory in single-minded unity of total loyalty and filial devotion with a sense of obligation that is freely consented to, yearning for the Leader who bestows the Korean nation the many benefits of Songun politics which are the lifeblood of the people.

Songun politics is the correct political mode of putting the military affairs at the forefront of the revolutionary building the great prosperous powerful country in defence of the Juche-based man-centered Korean-style socialist system freely chosen by the Korean people out of their own free will.

Having made the Democratic People's Republic of Korea the utopian socialist workers' paradise of freedom, peace, and justice with his Songun politics that are the politics of love and caring for the people, Dear Leader Comrade Generalissimo Kim Jong Il made it the strong nation of independant will that no formidable enemy dare attack or provoke, ensuring world peace on the Korean peninsula and prosperous stability for all Asian people.

The Korean people and all world progressives feel a deep pride in glorifying the great immortal revolutionary exploits of the Dear Leader, the Leader of Songun.

This is the Pride of Songun.

Two questions:

1) What does "songun" means?

2) What is the name of the building shown in the video?

1. Songun is the 'Army first' policy in which the army has taken precedence over the Korean Workers Party.

2. The parades are generally held in Pyongyang at Kim Il-sung Square, in front of (i.e., to the east of) the Grand People's Study House.

The DPRK is one of very few sovereign nations left and not a slave to the global banking mafia. I hope Kim Jong Il passes on his legacy, and that of Kim Il Sung, to a board of trustees that will govern the people according to the Juche philosophy.

There is no worthy dynastic successor to Kim Jong Il or Kim Il Sung. Kim Jong Un is a soft decadent worm with no war credentials, like Kim Il Sung, or one who worked with Sung and carried the torch forward, like Kim Jong Il. Kim Jong Un will destroy the DPRK and leave it exposed to Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase.

The Songun philosophy is faulty in that it compels support of a standing armed force which is a drain on the economy. The DPRK would do well to restore the primacy of the Korean Workers party. A People's Trust, made up of the best leaders, should take up the flag of the DPRK and lead the people into a future where the state works efficiently, agriculture is efficient and food is distributed to where it's needed, and there will be no more excuses for failing infrastructure. The People's Trust must stop blaming the imperialists for electric power failures or other faults that they did not cause.
